Even if you have never watched an X-rated movie, chances are you have heard of Jenna Jameson. Considered to be the world's most famous porn star, Jameson began her exotic film career in 1993 to get back at a cheating boyfriend. Since then, she's become famous not only for having sex on camera, but for ClubJenna, the porn film company she founded in 2000.
Earlier this year, Jameson officially retired from 'acting' and is now moving in an entirely different direction with her life. A source says that Jameson and her boyfriend, Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz, are expecting their first child. She and Ortiz have been dating since 2006 after meeting on MySpace.
Jameson hasn't confirmed the pregnancy yet, but has made no secret of her desire to be a mother. She suffered a miscarriage when married to Jay Grdina and later failed to get pregnant via in vitro fertilization.
Becoming a mother is a wonderful and life-changing event and I am happy for Jameson in that regard. But I have to say that I feel sorry for the child. At some point, that kid will have to be told about mommy's past. And then what? Does the child follow in the family business? Or does the kid rebel and run off to college to study accounting?
Now the the Jolie-Pitts have delivered their much-anticipated twins, the world needs a new belly to watch. Katie Holmes is a likely target, and The Daily Mail is reporting that Tom Cruise's wife is sporting a mysterious belly bump. Looking over the pictures, all I have to say is that if that's a baby bump, then I've been pregnant for, oh, about 16 years. (Note to The Daily Mail: That's not a bump... that's a big lunch.)

Former model Carla Bruni has announced she wants kids. The new wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy is keen to begin a family soon. Bruni, who is 40, has a seven year old son from another relationship and wants to provide Aurelian with a sibling if she's "young enough." Bruni and Sarkozy have been married less than a year.
Bruni also has a burgeoning career as a pop star to consider in addition to her duties as the President's wife. How will the beauty ever find time to be a mommy (again)? She has sworn off using fertility treatments to find herself in the family way, referring the matter over to a nature. AS we've all had rammed down our throats for ages, a woman's fertility begins a downhill course at twenty-seven (or so current wisdom holds).
Many women are having children later and later in life, and are therefore turning to the very thing Bruni is eschewing (at least in print) to become mothers. Being a model, pop star, or politician's wife--or all three--doesn't seem to be interfering with Carla's desire to add to her family. Will she become pregnant? Will she turn to fertility treatments? Brad Pitt's girlfriend isn't the only gorgeous Angie making babies these days. 36-year-old actress Angie Harmon and her equally gorgeous husband, former New York Giant Jason Sehorn, are reportedly expecting their third child. Life and Style Weekly has the scoop, with an insider proclaiming Angie "thrilled" with her growing family. "They're about four months into the pregnancy," the insider says.
Until we hear it from Angie's own lips, it's all just speculation of course. But Angie has made no secret of the fact that she wants a large family, even if she has to get take advantage of her husband in order to accomplish that. "Jason wants one more, and I want two or three more, so I may have to get him drunk on date night," she told Cookie magazine last year.
Angie and Jason are already parents to two girls, 4-year-old Finley Faith and 3-year-old Avery Grace. Congratulations!

Like many, many women before her, famous and not, Heigl is spurring on the trend of having a baby later in life (if indeed she wants kids at all). With a career as full and successful as Katherine's, I can certainly understand putting off motherhood for a while. Or, maybe the experiences she had while playing a pregnant woman in Knocked Up scared her!!!
Is natural childbirth going the way of the dinosaur? Ask many new moms and a lot of doctors and midwives, and you may be surprised to find the answer is yes. Between increasing costs at hospitals, liability and the demand by insurance companies for medical professionals to take on more and more patients each year, thereby limiting the amount of time one can spend on an individual labor, the option for a natural childbirth seems to lessen by the day.
Instead of having a regular old labor, complete with the uncertainty of when the baby would arrive and lots of pushing and pain, more and more women--and their care providers--are getting C-sections. Celebrities like Posh Beckham have helped speed the plow in the C-section trend by making no bones about scheduling the birth of her three sons. The woman has a career to think of and I simply can't imagine her having ten extra minutes for her water to break, can you? Celebrities opting for this surgery--and, uhm, yeah, it's considered MAJOR SURGERY--have paved the way for making it a norm for regular folks too. Women are also opting to get epidurals to ease the pain of childbirth as their doctors increase the use of pitocin and other drugs to jump start a labor. Pitocin can increase the pain of childbirth, too, so when the doc gives one more often than not a woman gets an epidural too. Many feel this process causes problems which then leads to more C-sections.
Other celebrities, like Ricky Lake, are spearheading the movement of natural childbirth. Lake had her baby at home with the help of a midwife. And there are many women who prefer to go about it the non-medicalized way, without drugs or a scheduled C. Problem is, they're finding it harder and harder to do so. I don't want to get into a discussion of whether or not it's "right" to have a natural birth, a C-section or an epidural any more than I want to discuss whether expectant mothers should be playing Metallica or Brahms during labor. What I do think warrants discussion is how we as women can preserve the right to have our babies the way we want to have them, and not bowing to the demands of the insurance business or doctors who act out of fear of malpractice suits.
Actor Mark Wahlberg has vowed not to sell the baby pictures of his new child-to-be. Marky Mark is putting a stop to any offers from magazines before they even get started, insisting he will not be selling his baby photos like so many other celebrity parents have of late.
The actor is expecting his third child with girlfriend (and perhaps soon to be wife) Rhea Durham, who is due in September. He is already father to two other children with Durham, Ella, who is four and Michael, who is two. I don't recall Mark pimping out pictures of either of them to the tabloids either!

Marky Mark is finally ready to settle down. The former pop star and current mega-hottie actor, fresh off the lukewarm if challenging film The Happening, is preparing to marry his girlfriend after all these years. According to People, Wahlberg and Rhea Durham are ready to make it official and have baby number three on the way! Why? Well, the former head of the Funky Bunch wants his family to be as successful as his movie career. With hits like Oscar-winning The Departed to his credit, Wahlberg may have to put in some daddy overtime!
Wahlberg, 37, says he is finally ready to give up life in the fast lane and work on the things that matter in life, like getting eight hours of sleep at night. Good, luck, Mark! Clearly this man has no idea that parenting entails giving up your sleep preferences until your kid goes to college.
My question is this: Does it take a marriage to make a family? The Jolie-Pitts would say no way, no day (although who knows, they may already secretly be married if rumors are true). Actor Ethan Hawke welcomed a baby girl into the world July 18th, according to his representative. Hawke and his wife, former nanny (to his kids with Uma Thurman) Ryan Shawhughes, are proud parents to Clementine Jane Hawke. Clementine is the first child for the newlyweds and joins siblings Maya Rae and Levan Roan, Ethan's kids with Uma Thurman.
Mara Buxbaum confirmed the happy news. Hawke and Shawhughes married a month ago. Hawke split from Thurman in 2004, and it is alleged that she may be pregnant as well.
For someone who had little to say about her pregnancy, Minnie Driver is certainly opening up these days. She won't reveal the name of the baby's father and she has no plans on finding out the baby's sex before the big day, but she has a lot to say about the rest of parenting.
The actress recently revealed she has no real plans to stay with the baby's father and is seriously considering single motherhood. Now she admits she is prepared to be a "chubby" mother as well. As opposed to other Hollywood starlets who look like they were never pregnant to begin with (Keri Russell, I'm talking to YOU) or those who hit the gym moments after they shed the placenta and worked out frantically to reduce their size, Minnie has no plans to do anything other than be a mommy! Take that, Kate Hudson! (Hudson gained seventy pounds with son Ryder.)

As most of us realistic gals know, it takes a year to put it on, and heaven knows it can take at least a year to take it back off--if we ever do. Nice to hear someone from tinsel town taking a breath of reality! I doubt Minnie will stay 'chubby' as she likes to call it, given that she gained a ton of weight for her breakout role in Circle of Friends and lost all of it, but only time will tell. I just wish someone would advise Minnie she doesn't look fat now that she's pregnant--she looks fantastic!

The star of television's Alias series and husband actor Ben Affleck are expecting their second child. According to reports, Garner is five months along. The news, as usual, came from a surprising source. Rather than being from Jen's own mouth, it came from Victor Garber, Garner's Alias costar who also presided over her wedding to Affleck.
No word yet on whether the new bundle to be is a girl or a boy. Heck, with the way things are going these days it could very well be twins on the way! Congratulations to the expectant couple!

The actress, who is expecting any day now, says she isn't certain whether or not she'll stay with the baby's father and is considering single motherhood as a definite option. Minnie has even set the stage for the possibility of a man-free world by surrounding herself with family and friends to help rear the baby.
According to the actress she'll have her mother, aunt and best friends to support her. Minnie has still refused to let on who the father of the baby is. She is also quoted as saying it's great to be independent in that way--and she certainly already has a leg up on that by denying the Hollywood gossip rags info on the baby daddy! Way to go, Minnie!
Minnie has also stated she'll probably go for a regular old baby name instead of some type of fruit, a day of the week or something that belongs on a space station. We'll see about that--she's resisted telling us the baby's daddy, the sex and now she wants a normal name? Who is this person who does whatever she wants? Independent indeed!
As yet another bitter celebrity divorce gets under way, interesting details about Cynthia Rodriguez's time while she was pregnant have been revealed. Cynthia, or C-Rod as she is now being called by the press, wife of Yankee's baseball star Alex Rodriguez (who is known as A-Rod, hence her nickname), recently stated she flew in the last trimester of her pregnancy to be with her husband on opening day.
Many doctors prefer women not fly in the third trimester of pregnancy for safety and health concerns. In fact, current wisdom holds a woman (at least in the U.S.) should not travel by air after her seventh month of pregnancy. C-Rod apparently flew in her ninth month. Her daughter was born less than a month after the flight.
What do you think? Is it a lot of poppy cosh that women shouldn't fly in the last trimester of pregnancy or is there something to it? C-Rod seemed to do fine and so did her daughter. I personally wouldn't want to fly while that pregnant. Heaven forbid you go into labor while you're in the air! Not to mention those seats are WAY too small for bulging pregnancy bellies. And if you have a craving? Well, if that's not the in-flight snack you're out of luck.
